America has over 15,000 cotton producers, and they are all key stakeholders in the Cotton Research and Promotion Program. Assessment fees on the cotton they grow provide roughly half of the funding for the Program. The work done by the Program is to help improve the demand for cotton and the profitability of America’s cotton producers.
Producer Representation
Each of the 17 cotton-producing states in the U.S. has producer representation on The Cotton Board. These board members and alternates serve as the voice of the producer segment of the industry and help guide the activities of the Program.
