New Features Allow for Filtered Searches, Content Customization, and Easy Sharing

 (MEMPHIS, TN) - Cotton Incorporated’s producer-focused Web site, Cotton Cultivated [cottoncultivated.cottoninc.com], was recently refreshed. A new look and new features make the site an even better resource for America’s cotton producers. 

Since its launch in 2015, Cotton Cultivated has become an indispensable tool for the cotton-growing community, allowing quick and easy access to important information. The site provides a portal that integrates videos, downloadable documents, webcasts, and real-time news feeds that have been “cultivated” to reduce the time spent sorting through pages of irrelevant search results.

The refresh of the site now allows users to filter search results by region, season, and production topics. Users can also create a Cotton Cultivated account, allowing them to curate a custom feed based on their specific needs and interests. Creating an account also allows users to save resources for easy access. Additionally, Cotton Incorporated added the ability for users to share information from the site directly to Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, and email – all with the click of a button.

Dr. Ryan Kurtz, Director of Agricultural Research for Cotton Incorporated, said, “We redesigned Cotton Cultivated to help improve user experience. Once visitors create an account, they will receive customized recommendations about resources available on the site that could be helpful based on their activity on the site.” According to Kurtz, Cotton Cultivated will also house discussion forums, regularly updated news, weekly weather videos, and featured webcasts.
